not sure if you can do it but the thought just came to my mind and I had to express it ofcourse. Do so that com_fps is capped to 125 as in osp 1.03

I had this idea a few weeks ago, but i don't know how to program it. The developers of OSP used Alan "Strider" Kivlin's 125hz code, they haven't createed this code by themself either. I have tried to get in contact with Alan, but it seems that he don't use his old email adress anymore. So i think i can't integrate this feature.

hmm, so you can't just do it like you did with /name UnnamedPlayer so that you can't enter with that nick? What I mean is that person who has more than 125 com_maxfps can't enter the server or in the server there will be message "server com_maxfps capped from 30 to 125 adjusting...." or so?
Not sure how it works in cpma but I think it's capped there too but the whole thing works diffrently there, fps doesn't make strafing better or so. it doesn't help if you ask this matter from arQon or so?

I know what you are talking about. CMPA and OSP 125Hz are both based on Alan Kivlin's code. I have no idea how the programmer had coded this. It has nothing to do with, not to let someone join, who has more then 125 com_fps in his config. Furthermore it's similar like the unlagged code, which has nothing to do that people have better pings when the mod uses this code, only the the q3 server part works different.

Ok I see.
This has nothing do with the topic but do you know why people wait for the Quake 3 source? As it has been written that ra3 1.8 won't be released until the source comes out but how does it actually help the developer(s)? Can you make the netcode much better or something like that or what is the point of waiting?
You should also consider of contacting elqueffo (ra3 developer) as with you knowledge and skills you could easily make the mod better as there basically isn't nobody else developing ra3 which nice mod with some nice maps and player community but has some serious problems like netcode and so.
Just my two rusted cents

I think the ra3 developers make a good job, they don't need my help. The second thing is, that i prefer to work alone. It's always hard to work with several people at a softwareproject, things won't be done in time and bugs are harder to find.
